While each of these traits are important to our practice, there are two additional qualities that Dr. Tudor prizes in his employees – the ability to be gentle and caring. With extensive experience, Dr. Tudor is proud to say he works with a team of dedicated professionals who embody all of these qualities. They know everything you could possibly want to know about dentistry and are happy to answer your concerns.
You may recognize our dental assistant, Jean Clark, as the person helping Dr. Tudor chairside. She can administer nitrous, assists in Brite Smile® whitenings, and performs other tasks. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her sons, traveling, and looking for antiques.

Tudor A. Dragulescu, DMD
Born in Romania, Tudor Dragulescu immigrated with his family to Germany
as a boy. There he learned that he needed extensive dental work on his
teeth. While many of his appointments were long and some were painful,
Dr. Tudor’s dentist was very kind and explained each procedure.
Eventually, the young boy enjoyed seeing his dentist so much he helped
out around the office during the summer. That’s when Dr. Tudor
decided he’d like to pursue dentistry.
As an exchange student attending high school in the United States, Dr.
Tudor was accepted at Wake Forest University. After graduating, he was
admitted to the Dental School at the Medical University of South Carolina
in Charleston, South Carolina. He received his DMD and enrolled in a
general practice residency at the Carolinas Medical Hospital in Charlotte,
North Carolina. After working in a private practice for several years,
he began working for himself in 1998 at his current facility.
Dr. Tudor’s goal has always been to offer aesthetic dentistry
in an environment that puts you at ease. To do this, he attends a variety
of advanced dental courses. He has completed Sedation Dentistry and Advanced
Cosmetic continuums at PAC Live and studied dental implants at the Misch
Implant Institute. To continue to stay on top of his skills, Dr. Tudor
has recently enrolled at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dentistry.
Dr. Tudor is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry,
the American Association of Hospital Dentists, the Academy of General
Dentistry, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Dental
Association, and the Hilton Head Dental Society. Outside of dentistry,
he is a member of the Hilton Head Island Chamber of Commerce. He also
donates his time with Volunteers in Medicine, the Referral Networking
Group, and the Self Family Arts Center Children's Dental Heath Month.
He also volunteers as a soccer coach and referee at the Hilton Head Recreation
Center.
